Welcome to Enforcement Training Academy, Enforcement Training Academy is located in central Alberta, in the city of Red Deer, providing training to understanding dog behavior, proactive handling to prevent dog bites, increasing success in animal apprehension, kennel transfers, lessening the aggressive responses of the animal, as well as improving safety for both the dog and the handler. Our enforcement education advances bylaw officer’s confidence in their daily performance duties. We also assist organizations interested in updating or overhauling their existing enforcement structures and systems. We offer our services to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, and Ontario, Canada.

ADVANCED APPREHENSION,
HANDLING & SELF DEFENSE: Level 2

This 5 day course will provide intense "hands-on" training, dealing with difficult dogs. This course will be held at our facility in Red Deer with a maximum 14 participants, and will give attendees greater ability and confidence in:Some of the topics to be covering will be:

Advanced self defense against single or multiple dog attacks
How and when to use barriers
Calming signals, Reading the dog and behavioral management
Loading and handling injured animals
Identifying communicable disease and protocol
How to testify in serious dog bite situations
Dog bite protocol
Defense tools and related options
Environmental safety management

The day is broken into two sessions (morning and afternoon), allowing lunch and coffee breaks. Each participant will receive a manual of the course, and a certificate of completion.
